ABOUT THE PROJECT
Our initiative aims to bring a different view on various ecological themes, using as instruments creative methods of non-formal learning and promoting among the young people that participate in the project a strong feeling of solidarity and social cohesion. The project took place between February-June 2010.
The key issues that stand in the core of our work are diversity and creativity, used in innovative manners in order to empower disadvantaged groups of young people and to enlarge their life abilities. We also aim to put in motion a process of surpassing barriers, whether it is about the environment, the social or cultural realities, our health, our prejudgements or our behavior towards the others.
The youngsters involved in the project will be under the guidance of our young trainers, working in teams, developing their ideas with their peers and putting them into practice. They will be able to enlarge their field of vision and practical skills during the creative workshops and artistic activities we planned in this project: recycle art, theatre and hand made paper making etc.
It will be a chance for young people coming from various social backgrounds and experiences to come together and learn to share, to grow and to learn from each other. At the end of the project, in July 2010, all the participants will have a better understanding and a personal conception regarding ways of improving the quality of their work, environment and attitudes towards the others around them, related to the principles of democracy. They will be making full use of their knowledge, ambition and creativity, thus benefiting from a process of personal development.
The project is financed by European Comission, through Youth in Action Programme, Action 1.2, National Initiatives
